ECONOMY

    Ampudia is surrounded by many villages and its economy is based on agriculture an cattle raising. It is a very big village with 11,652 Hectares, 7,839 of them are fields for farming especially crops for dry farming(barley, wheat, and legumes), other 1,861 are pastures and the rest, about 1,952 are ilexs and oaks in the so called Ampudia´s Woodland.

    Related to this sectors there are some services such as garages for repairing cars, ironworks, a petrol station, a cereal selection company and so on which supply the villages round. These sectors are very important for the economical development of Ampudia.

    There are also house building businesses, such as brickwork companies, a goods warehouse and a concrete factory.

    An important factor for Ampudia´s economy is tourism.Many tourists come to Ampudia to know its monuments and landscapes and to enjoy the food of its restaurants,or to enjoy a weekend in the Rural House "Casa del Abad de Ampudia"(The Abbot´s House), an example of Rural Tourism.
