GASTRONOMY

    Ampudia´s gastronomy is based on products produced in the area and it is also based on a long tradition of making these products.

    Among the typical products of this village and of other villages of the area of Tierra de Campos, we have to mention lamb and pidgeon food which can be tasted in several inns and restaurants in the village, such as "El Mesón de Ampudia", "Pensión-comidas Valencia" and the lodging house and restaurant "La Casa del Abad de Ampudia".( The Abbot´s House).

    Pigkilling is very important and everybody in the family helps during these days so that they will taste those products from pigs during the whole year.

    There is also a rich delicatessen tradition,being very famous ones its cakes, ring-shaped pastries, tough peak shaped cakes and bread made from unfermented grape juice.
