The Assumptionīs Church
This church is of Herreriano style, from the XVII century. It has got a basilical floor and a marvellous tower of the same style.
Although the church
has been restored in different periods, it still keeps remains before the XIII
century,such as one tombstone with a latin inscription and dated on July 28th 1201.There
is a marvellous mudejar moulded ceiling inside the church..
It has got a central apse, covered with a marvellous goldened altarpiece in three parts. The image of the Patroness the Asumption Virgin is in the central part of the altarpiece.
The "Angustias" Virginīs Hermitage.
There are works such as a Piety from the XVI century a sculpture of the Virgin from the XVcentury, and a image of St Barbara from the Romans time..
Museum of Ethnography
The museum wants to show human beings in their natural environment and it will be a center of cultural and environmental knowledge of the area.
Agricultural works, food production, social organization, religion, clothing and education have a place in the museum through the agricultural tools from Tierra de Campos.
Apart from agriculture, which was the main way of living, there are representative objects of the characteristic jobs of the area: blacksmiths, stonemasons, spinners, shoemakers,vintners.
Culture in the museum is only alive and comes to life when it makes us to think about culture nowadays.
This contact with the own cultural roots of the area helps us to be conscious of our history as a essential element to acquire our own cultural identity
