The area of Tierra de Campos is maybe one of the most homogeneous one in Castilla y León, because of its geography and its history.

    At 750 metres height above sea level, the main characteristic of its countryside is its flatness and its impressive sights,with some hills and moors which delimit some rivers and streams. This is an area based on cereals and with not so many trees, with an extreme and cold climate with little rainfalls.

    This landscape has been considered as the typical image of Castilla and it has been used a lot as a literary topic, although it is only one part of the landscaping diversity of Castilla and León area.

    Another aspect of its landscape is the character of its people. There is a perfect mixture between people and countryside. Villages built in the traditional way seems to appear between the moors and they disappear in the plain.
