Urueña   is located at the moorland of the Montes Torozos between Medina de Rioseco and Mota del Marqués. Urueña has a privileged location that makes the village a marvellous view point where sights of the quiet and immense Castilian plateau can be seen.

    There are three different ways to come to the village.The National VI (Madrid-La Coruña) road, in the kilometre number 211; the road from San Cebrián de Mazote and the road which comes from theSanta Espina Monastery. The first two ones join on the moor which hides the medieval wall, giving an aspect of sobriety and nobility to the village.
